1. About this policy
Color Me Memories operates colormememories.com, where customers turn personal photos into customized physical coloring books. This policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you visit our website, create a book, place an order, or contact us.

2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide when using our services, including:
Your email address, and the name, shipping address and phone number you enter at checkout. Your phone number is shared with our printer and delivery carrier for shipping.
Billing details you enter on Stripe’s secure payment page. We receive payment confirmation and transaction information, not your full card number.
Uploaded photos, cover photos, book titles, design selections, and other content you submit.
Generated coloring artwork, cover artwork, previews, and print files associated with your book.
Order details, payment status, shipment information, and support communications.
We don’t offer customer accounts. Your book in progress is connected to private links and to information saved in your browser.
Our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, and request and error logs to run and secure the website. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics tools.
Payments are processed through Stripe. Do not send payment-card details to our support email.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
Upload and process photos and generate personalized artwork and covers.
Display previews and preserve your book selections.
Process payments and applicable taxes.
Prepare print files and arrange printing and shipping.
Send order confirmations, artwork previews, shipment updates, and messages about order problems.
Provide support and handle refund requests.
Maintain the website, investigate errors, prevent abuse, and protect orders.
Maintain required business records and comply with legal obligations.
4. Photos and AI processing
Our service uses AI processing to transform uploaded photos into coloring artwork and, when selected, personalized cover artwork. Uploaded photos and related instructions are sent through Lovable’s AI gateway to OpenAI image and vision models to create this artwork.
AI-generated artwork can differ from the original photo and may contain inaccuracies.
Only upload photos you have permission to use. When uploading photos of other people, including children, you are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions from the people pictured or their parent or legal guardian.
Color Me Memories uses your photos to create and fulfill your personalized book. We do not use your photos or personalized artwork for our own advertising, social media, or public promotional galleries.
5. Service providers and other disclosures
Information is disclosed as needed to service providers supporting our operations, including:
Stripe, for payment processing and tax calculation.
Lulu and its shipping carriers, for printing, fulfillment, and delivery.
Lovable, which provides our website hosting, database, file storage, AI gateway, and order-email delivery.
OpenAI, through Lovable’s AI gateway, for generating artwork from photos.
These providers receive information relevant to their services. For example, Lulu receives print-ready files and fulfillment details, while AI providers receive the photos and instructions needed to generate artwork.
Providers may process and retain information under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.
We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or protect legal rights.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
The website uses browser storage (local storage and session storage) to keep your book in progress, remember your current step and selections, and remember campaign tags from links you followed during your visit. Stripe’s payment page may use its own cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. Browser settings allow you to manage cookies and stored information; clearing them may remove access to a book in progress on that device.
7. Retention and deletion requests
Unordered books: we automatically delete the image files we store for a book in progress after 5 days without activity.
Ordered books: we automatically delete the image files we store 5 days after delivery is confirmed. If delivery can’t be confirmed, the order is reviewed by us before anything is deleted.
Files are kept longer while an order is active, a print submission is pending, a fulfillment attempt has failed, or a support or refund request is open.
Cleanup covers original uploads, separate cover uploads, generated artwork, previews, and print files in storage we control. After cleanup, previews, your gallery, and reprints from stored files are no longer available.
This cleanup doesn’t delete copies held independently by our printer, AI providers, email recipients, or provider backups.
We keep payment, tax, order, shipment, and refund records as needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal requirements, without keeping image files longer than described here.
You may request deletion of your photos or other information by emailing colormememories1@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Deletion can affect access to previews, reprints, and order support. Some information may need to remain for an active order, legal obligations, or legitimate recordkeeping. Copies held by service providers or in backups may be subject to separate retention schedules. We will explain relevant limitations when responding to your request.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. However, no website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Protect any private book, order or gallery links, and avoid sharing them publicly: anyone with a valid link may access the information it opens.
9. Children
The service is intended for adult purchasers. Children should not upload photos or place orders.
Adults may submit permitted family photos, including photos of children, to create a book. If you believe a child has submitted personal information directly without appropriate authorization, contact colormememories1@gmail.com.
10. Your requests and choices
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have additional rights.
We may verify your identity and will respond as required by applicable law. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain the relevant reason.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services and practices change. The current version and effective date will appear on this page. Where legally required, we will provide additional notice.
